Day 1


Transfer to the Kotoka International Airport by The Chariot staff for your morning flight to Tamale after being picked up from your location. Upon arrival up North – Tamale, meet and assist by a representative of The Chariot. Brief introduction on board. Welcome drink and water on arrival and orientation shortly after.

Your tour of the Northern Region starts passing through the beautiful city of Tamale to Larabanga. Upon arrival visit the Larabanga Ancient Mosque – the first mosque built in the whole of West Africa. Discover one of Ghana’s most revered religious sites; historic mosque of the “Sudanese” architectural mosque type in the Larabanga village. Continue to visit the Larabanga Mystic Stone nearby. The fascination Mystic Stone possesses a story of the stone which had been in the way of a road, and every time they moved it, it came back to its original position. It was taken progressively further away, and always came back, eventually the road had to be diverted to go around it.

Transfer to your safari resort. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2


Experience an early morning safari in the Mole Park to see buffalos, antelopes, warthogs, hyenas, red-flanked duikers, hartebeests and other species of mammals like the elephants. The safari vehicle is the best experience riding through the park to see more animals. And one can disembark at a point to see the animals more closely.
Enjoy your breakfast, check out of your resort and head for Tamale. Explore Tamale with a drive through the capital of the Northern Region to the Leather Factory. With the wealth of cows come a plethora of leather. Learn and observe the different processing stages revealing nice products of the cow hide. You can order your own bespoke leather product. They are quite variable and stout.
Continue to visit the Shea Butter Processing Shop. The various stages of processing will be explained to you in detail. Continue your drive through the city to the Central Market, you will encounter the Central Mosque enroute.
Transfer to your hotel, check in and prepare for your dinner. Your driver and guide will pick you up for some chills and grills. Be sure to try the famous roasted or grilled Guinea Fowl with special spice. Transfer to your hotel.

Day 3


After breakfast, check out of your hotel and depart for Bolga. Bolgatanga, the capital of the Upper East Region harnesses some of the world’s finest woven baskets “The Bolga Baskets”. Visit the Bolgatanga Crafts Market famous for Northern Handicrafts which include leather products, handmade straw baskets, metallic jewelry, local norther attire, very durable hats and fans. Your tour guide will assist you with souvenirs for your family and friends.

Continue to the Paga, a town closer to the border between Ghana and Burkina Faso. Visit the Paga Crocodile Pond noted for the sacred crocodiles. These crocodiles are forbidden to be hunted, they are not harmed by humans and only reduce through natural deaths. There is a mutual unique friendship between the people of Paga and these sacred crocodiles. The site guide will assist you with your kodak moments while you sit, pat, or hold a part of the crocodile.

Transfer and overnight at your hotel.

Day 4


Your tour today begins today after breakfast. We leave the Upper East for the Upper West Region. Check out of your hotel and head for Wa, capital of the Upper West Region. Upon arrival, have lunch (on your own account) and continue to visit the Nakore Ancient Mosque. The features of this ancient is quite similar to the Larabanga Mosque. This is a small mosque.

Transfer to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of today at leisure. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 5


The journey begins! Leave Wa after your breakfast for the Wechiau Community Hippo Sanctuary (WCHS) created to protect one of the last remaining hippo populations in Ghana. Proceed for a sensational canoe ride viewing experience on the Black Volta. The bloat of hippos is mostly gathered in groups at one side of the river.

The best time for a perfect viewing is during the dry season in Ghana (Jan – March/April). The hippos enjoy the tranquility around, hence, careful with noise. You can whisper, take videos and share some kodak moments! – You are just a few minutes away from Burkina Faso, Ghana’s border country to the North.

Discover the section of the local community to learn about the local Wala, Birifor (Lobi) tribal life and customs.

Continue to Jirapa and check into your safari resort. Overnight and dinner at your resort.

Day 6


After breakfast, your tour of Jirapa Dubai begins! Explore this breathtaking safari ranch experience with a variety of different species of animals including lions, hippos, zebras, and many more. You can also climax your safari ranch adventure with a boat ride.

Discover the Mushroom Rocks on quad bike rides and the Jirapa Township.

Enjoy the rest of today at leisure.

Overnight and dinner at your safari resort.

Day 7


You will definitely see the Northern Experience differently after today. Enjoy your early breakfast and check out for the Wa airport. Complete onboarding airport procedures.

Depart for Accra and drop off at your location.
