Day 1


Arrive in Ghana. Meet and assist by The Chariot staff (Tour Guide & Chauffeur). Transfer to hotel. Brief introduction on board. Welcome drink on arrival and orientation shortly after.

Day 2


Your tour of Ghana after a hefty breakfast. This half day city tour will take you through the administrative or political route in the Accra Metropolis. Get your cameras ready for those enchanting Kodak moments at the famous Black Star Gate (where VP Kamala Harris of the USA made her historic speech on her 3-day tour to Ghana), Black Star Square also known as the Independence Square (a monumental site for Ghana’s Independence Day Parade).

Continue to the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum in memory and honor of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah (the First President of Ghana) and prominent Pan Africanist. Visit Old Accra for the Jamestown Walking Tour and the Brazil House, one of the very few Afro-Brazilian houses that was not sold off but developed for commercial purposes dated back to 1836. Occupied by the Tabom people formely enslaved people who were originally captured from Yoruba-speaking communities in West Africa who later returned to settle Ghana from Brazil. De Souza, Pereria, Palmares, Nelson, Azumah, Amorin, De Medeiros, Nunoo, Olympio, and Maslieno are some of the names still existing amongst Ghanaians.

Exercise your bargaining skills at the Center for National Culture (popularly known as the Arts Center). Your tour guide will assist you with this process.

Have a late lunch on your own account and head back to your hotel.

Your night tour begins at 6pm when the tour guide and chauffeur will pick you up for your welcome dinner at a chosen restaurant & pub to be communicated to you.

Drop off at your hotel or you can continue to discover Accra by night on your own.

Day 3


A day full of pure bliss. Depart Accra in the Greater Accra Region for the Eastern Region following breakfast to visit the Aburi Botanical Garden. Aburi a small town and which due to its altitude is a lot cooler than Accra. Famous for the Aburi Botanical Garden which was opened in 1890 and is a habitat for plants and birds from all over the world. The beauty and uniqueness of this garden makes it a must experience for every visitor to Ghana. Your site guide will educate on the plant and fauna. Enjoy some freshly tapped palm wine tasting experience in town (optional).

Continue to the Wood Carver’s Village and for your nature quad biking experience through the green environment. After such a thrilling adventure, depart for Akosombo, enroute visit the Tetteh Quarshie Cocoa Farm, Ghana’s first Cocoa Farm and sample some Cocoa for probably the first time.

Arrive Akosombo, a beautiful small town and the acclaimed haven in the region. With time permitting, you will visit the Akosombo Dam, a rock-fill dam known as the Akosombo Hydroelectric Project which supplies electricity to some neighbouring countries.

Transfer, dinner and overnight at your river resort.

Day 4


After breakfast, check out of your hotel and depart for Amedzofe, a town in the mountains noted for the beautiful weather and landscapes. Arrive Amedzofe and continue to climb Mount Gemi, one of the tallest mountains in Ghana. It is about 20 minutes hike to the tip of it. The original and traditional name is Mount Gayito, which means “God of Defense” in the Ewe language.

Continue to visit the Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary to experience the playful Mona monkeys. The people of Tafi Atome have a unique way of treating their monkeys. The monkeys are deeply revered by these people because of the traditional importance attached to these monkeys.

Proceed to visit the Wli Waterfalls, the tallest waterfall in West Africa. Embark on a rather short hike to the lower part of the falls. You can decide whether or not to showcase your bravery on the 90 minutes hike to the upper falls. There is an amazing swimming crater superb for splattering below the falls.

What a fulfilling day! Transfer, dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 5


Depart for Kpando to visit the Kpando Fesi Shed noted for pottery making. The shed is huddled in the lush forest a short distance from the main market center. The distinctive style and unique textures of these pots are saliently admirable, handmade with precision and care. The women are delighted to walk visitors through the basic steps from the first stages of clay mixing through sculpting to the firing process.

Journey back to Akosombo. Check into your river resort. Have a view of the Volta Lake (the third largest man-made lake in the world and the second largest in Africa) which was formed as a result of the damming of the Volta River. Enjoy a boat cruise on the Volta River. And spend the rest of the day at leisure or enjoying some watersport activities.

Dinner and overnight at your beach resort.

Day 6


After breakfast, discover the Shai Hills Resource Reserve enroute to Accra. This reserve consists of a very striking and attractive range of rocky hills set in the middle of expansive open and wooded grassland plains. At present, it is home to ostriches, bushbucks, antelopes and baboons. Either take a safari ride along the tourist’s routes or hike along walking trails. There are several cave systems in the hills, some of which have played and continue to play an important in local history, culture and tradition.

Arrive Accra. You can check out the Accra Mall or head straight to your hotel, check in, refresh and enjoy the rest of your day at leisure. Your guide and driver will pick you up for dinner in town.

Transfer and overnight at your hotel.

Day 7


After a hearty breakfast, enjoy your day at leisure while relaxing for your spa session (on your own account) or your guide and driver will be available for your last-minute shopping plans. You will be transferred to the airport on time for your onward flight.
